Two months vegan and gluten free (also sugar, processed foods, and alcohol are out), and the hair growth on my chin is almost gone! Periods have yet to regulate, but this diet change has totally turned around my digestion for the better. Do your research and try it out.
I think that this helps but it is not a must. That is my understanding. You have to do what feels right for you
