Hi, I'm new here and I would love to hear your own experience with taking birth control to treat the symptoms of PCOS. (How long it took for you to notice some symptoms release, what symptoms were treated, do you like treating PCOS symptoms with combination birth control, etc.) I was diagnosed with PCOS two weeks ago and me and my doctor agreed on taking combination birth control (Daylette). Thank you very much.
it can be /super/ discouraging at first. last month i started bc for the first time in ~7 years. the pill she gave me made me sooo crazy so this month i have switched and she gave me a little bit of a lower dosage. im on week 2 and feeling good! it took until ~day 4 to stop my period and i havent been bleeding since! (thats a big thing for me personally. i was on my period for 9 months!) my advice is to listen to your body! its expected to make your emotions a lil up and down but it shouldnt (tw) make you want to kill yourself. head up and i hope you get relief from whatever symptoms you have!
I'm taking sprintec. After taking most of the white pills my cycle became regular. I taking birth control off and on for years to have my cycles come on. I'm currently taking birth control to regulate my cycle every month. My testosterone was slightly high based on what the nurse told me from lab work. I am aiming to go a more natural approach to regulate my cycles.
