Long periods and ttc

Hey! Im on month 3/4 of my period with short 6/7 days breaks sometimes less! Does anybody have long periods and what has doctor done for you?? Im at doctors for testing on friday and im nervous. Has anyone ever had long periods and gotten pregnant?? Im 29 now and I want a baby with my fiance but its hard to try for a baby when constantly on period.
