A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello guys I need some advice I went to the doctor and I gave them my history and no one is helping me I have elevated white blood cells, high inflammation markers low iron and anemia with other vitamins not being absorbed and elevated bun and creatinin and extreme fatigue and over all general pain so I was sent to a rheumatologist and she told me to just loose weight that I couldn’t be in pain because my X-rays were fine and I don’t know what to do?

This is hard, its frustrating to have a ‘medical professional’ act as though you are either faking your issues, or refusing to take action on what you tell them.
From personal experience just recently, i understand how it feels for a doctor to act as though you couldn’t possibly have issues because they dont immediatly see a problem.

The best thing you can do is either ask that doctor for a second opinion, or go see another doctor.
We have to be our own advocates, and stand up for ourselves. We know our bodies best, and if you are in pain and having all these other issues, then the problem cannot be weight only.

You know your body best, and you know that something more is going on. Dont stop seeking answers until someone helps you!

Sending lots of live your way, cyster!!!❤️❤️❤️

It’s awful to feel misunderstood, confused and frustrated. I feel for you , but unfortunately this is the process most people will have to go through with illnesses like this. Don’t ever give up , you deserve answers and to be understood. It will happen , you just have to find the right doctor. Once you do , you can take that sigh of relief. Just knowing what you have can help a lot . Stay strong and keep on your journey 💪🏽
