Needing To Nap
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else get a severe need to nap around 2pm?
4 out of 7 days a week, i feel extremely exhausted to the point of getting a headache or nauseous around 2-2:30pm...regardless of how long i slept that night.
I do have insomnia and have to take meds to go to sleep every night

It is funny that you brought this up. My disturbed sleeping pattern occurs at the same time every month and the next day I have truly no choice but to lay down with a show in and sleep for about an hour. I then feel refreshed. At times I have even fallen asleep after my morning routine ...getting ready for the day...making my son breakfast and basic tasks around the house. Once he is in his way out the door implant to take a little rest and another hour or so nap. I've tracked it in my cell phone and always the same days middle of the month. I forgive myself as it's not laziness it is self care. Your body will let you know what you need...believe me, lol. Extra caffeine or using energy supplements is ineffective. I say enjoy the nap and it's part of this lovely experience. I would bet you have beautiful skin though 🥰 Good rest is conducive to optimal wellness..and that shows in your skin, your eyes, your smile, your energy. Stay well ❤️

Yep! My 2pm slump! I find it's less severe if I eat protein for breakfast oddly enough.

I have trouble sleeping due to my depression. I find even harder to fall asleep when I'm on my period as I feel as though I'm going to leak or worse

I try to keep a schedule and set an alarm if i nap...but i usually end up napping for 2 hours. I was taking my sleep meds at 10 so id sleep by 10:30...but i end up waking up at 5am feeling awful and needing a nap by 2pm anyways. Lately its been 1130 by the time im in bed, then not wanting to get out of bed at 7, then needing a nap. I put the TV on at night with the brightness set super low and a timer set to shut off. Tried with no tv sound, tossed like crazy lol

I've been having to smoke more CBD flowers to feel more calm and less hurty at night. Even if i manage not to nap during the day, after 9pm im wide awake
