I started Metformin after being diagnosed with Diabetes several years ago. I just this last year got my PCOS diagnosis. I definitely had the GI side effects, but the extended release helped lessen them. It did a good job helping me manage my A1C.

I wasnt diagnosed, nor do i have it now. I was on metformin for 14 years(?) And it didnt help me, i only had the bad side effects. But is does help others, i dont want to discourage you
