Hej hej, I'm a visual communication student based in Sweden and currently working on a project about PCOS. The goal is to raise awareness that this condition exists and to eventually help women help each other getting a diagnosis, since 70% of women with PCOS remain undiagnosed. Based on that I'd be really happy if you could share some indicators that helped you get a diagnosis. 😊
Irregular periods, high levels of free testosterone, high overall testosterone, constant cravings for carbs, lower belly fat, excess muscle gain, aggression, high adrenaline, cystic ovory pattern, cystic ovaries, depression, anxiety, infertility
Lower belly fat period that last more then 7 days. My periods come regularly but they last forever
Irregular periods and hirsutism.
My first indicator was irregular periods! I had no issues with weight until recently, and I have had higher testosterone since I was ~7 years old. Another big indicator was consisently flipped LH/FSH ratios. Of course, after bloodwork, ultrasounds confirmed over 20 subcentimeter follicles on each ovary.
