My doctor recommend a laparoscopic ovarian wedge resection on both ovaries. As well as looking for and possibly excising endometriosis. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2017 but have had symptoms since my first period at 10 years old. So, this has been a loooooooong journey for me. I am 26 now and finally feel like I am being listened to by my doctor about the pain, discomfort, and overall poor quality of life.
Has anyone had this procedure done? What should I expect? How was your experience? Any… read more
Ohhhh I see. Thanks for explaining! (A friend of mine had everything removed except her ovaries as well for a different hormone problem too-def seemed to help her as well) I was just curious! I am so… read more
My gyne gave me the option of having surgery to remove part of left fallopian. This is the side that is extremely painful ( large cysts develop) during ovulation. At last ultrasound tube was bigger then it should be. Just curious if anyone has had this done and their experience with it. 😊
I've had a laparoscopic cystectomy in February 2022 to remove an 11cm ovarian cyst from my right ovary
I sometimes think that my ovaries and fallopian tubes are on the wrong sides as my left ovary is… read more

Before I go back on birth control, the doctor wants to do a D&C to check on my built-up lining. I am nervous for this surgery. It will be my first surgery, and I am scared of anesthesia due to PTSD.
Hi there. So, I did have a D&C during a surgery I had for parapelvic cysts. They just did the D&C at the same time because I had a cyst on my uterus so they took care of it. I was under so I didn't… read more
I'm a bit exasperated as I start my 9th menstrual cycle in 4 months. Yes, it comes with all the PMS mood swings, cravings, and cramps every time. It's because I'm taking progesterone (originally prescribed because to potentially help depression? But my midwife told me to keep taking it after an exam not only diagnosed PCOS but also revealed a larger cyst that has her concerned). Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with larger cysts with PCOS and how they were treated/what the results were.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else experiences alot of ruptured cyst on the ovaries. I have pcos and was diagnosed in 2011. This year alone I have been in Hospital 4 time with cysts bursting and me passing out and I even had a 6cm cyst cut off my left ovary.
My sister has pcos but has never been through the pain of a cyst rupturing. Does anyone get these?
Thanks
Lol I couldn't agree more there isn't anything out there for us. That's why I'm so glad I found this site 😃
hi ladies,
when I went to the loo earlier, I heard a clot that had come out of me and landed in the toilet.
I was wondering if it could mean that either I've already got an ovarian cyst or if another one is starting to appear.
I have also noticed that my periods have gone back to being really heavy and painful again like they were before my laparoscopic cystectomy just over 2 years ago.

Hi everyone
I hadn't had a proper period (the few I had in the run-up to Christmas last year were more blink-and-you-miss them and a heck of a lot lighter than I'm used to them being. Last month and the month before they had completely disappeared, but then they suddenly reappeared with a vengeance as the reappeared with yesterday or the day before and they were really light like they were at the end of last year, but when I went to the loo this morning when I woke up they'd returned to how… read more
