A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, I have PCOS and I'm doing a research paper on PCOS for my English Class and was wondering if there's anyone on the medical staff that could answer some questions? I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 21 years old and I'm now 40 years old. It's hard to lose weight, become pregnant (given up on that), the missed periods, insulin resistance and my list go on. So when we were given the option to write a research paper on an issue that means the most to us, I picked PCOS. Not many people out… read more

Its to the point i cannot wear tampons because the clots stop from my flow and im having to change my Tampon almost… read more

I have had the same issues before in the past, I found it best to see my Primary, who was able to give me medication to slow the bleeding, and examine the clots in case something else was going on

Does anyone have sudden pressure or jolts of pain in their ovaries? It doesn't happen every five minutes. But, it also affects my lower back as well.

Not all the time, but I've had days kinda like that... Wish I understood more, but everything you find googling only applies so much when you have to take the PCOS into account

Anyone Experience Lower Leg Pain And Edema? (pain In Arms And Back Aswell)
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Ok, so I went for my annual physical last week. I told the doctor I get stomach pains in my lower abdomen. And I get a period once every 4 months. But he noticed my lower legs and feet were swollen. He said it was edema. I was like "huh?" So he tested me for kidney, liver and heart function. Ok so now I'm worried. I never had this. But tomorrow will be a week since my visit...so if there was anything serious they would call right? I googled lower leg edema and I got scared. I saw it has to do… read more

Has Anyone Ever Had A Pain In Your Lower Tummy?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I keep getting a weird pulling type pain in the lower part of my tummy and like a tugging type sensation in my lady parts (it's the only thing I can call it as I can't spell the correct word for my lady parts). It started either yesterday morning or evening. I took two 30/500 co-codamol capsules last night, which eased the pain enough for me to fall asleep, but the pains have come back again, but I don't have a clue what has triggered the pains.
Any ideas of what it could be?

Does Anyone Else Get Excruciating Pain In The Lower Area?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Yesterday I went to the doctors about the pains I have in what I can only describe as my ovaries. I have had these pains for quite some time now and they come and go. A bit like period pains but without the period as I haven't had one since December. The doctor said that PCOS doesn't cause pain, but I disagree.. doctors know best tho right? Does anyone have this problem or is it something I should be worried about?

I used to have horrible ovary pain, I ended up having to have surgery to remove cysts on both ovaries. Since then I still get the pains, but not entirely as bad
