Insurance And Perscripton Coverage. Any Advice?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have been recently diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance. My Endocrinologist want to try two perscriptions, either Saxenda (which she thinks would work best for me) or Contrave. I called my insurance to see if either would be covered and they said no. I feel defeted. I thought this i would finally have some releif or help. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do to deal with insurance?

Ive been to my dr asking for help with my pcis and she says exercise and eat different. Welp, if that helped i wouldnt be asking. I asked her about adipex and she said they dont prescribe weight loss meds there. Ive been on metformin for about 7 months as well as a boatload of bp meds and ive gained 10 lbs! I need help with the weight. Its making me miserable. Oh and the fatigue... horrible. Sometimes i just want to die. Any suggestions??

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I don’t have a huge amount to lose (around 5-10kgs) but it won’t shift, no matter what I do. When I didn’t carry this extra… read more

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Recently (finally/properly) diagnosed with PCOS. Overwhelmed to say the least but atleast I have a diagnosis and starting point. I am looking for, and desperately needing dietary suggestions that may be helpful because from what I’ve read it is a good starting point to get certain symptoms under control. I’m having trouble finding anything online. Please help! Thank you everyone 😊😊
