Hello, I have PCOS and I'm doing a research paper on PCOS for my English Class and was wondering if there's anyone on the medical staff that could answer some questions? I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 21 years old and I'm now 40 years old. It's hard to lose weight, become pregnant (given up on that), the missed periods, insulin resistance and my list go on. So when we were given the option to write a research paper on an issue that means the most to us, I picked PCOS. Not many people out… read more
I believe healthy lifestyle can inprove PCOS. I have seen many successful pregnancy cases with PCOS just by natural care.
I have had PCOS for approximately 3 years. In between these 3 years I've have maybe 2 periods (random spotting inbetween the count of this is unknown but a lot). I just started a period 2 weeks ago. My last period was May of 2018 and it was normal and lasted about 7-9 days or so and wast super heavy, just normal. However, this period IS SO HEAVY and I have been clotting a lot. Its to the point i cannot wear tampons because the clots stop from my flow and im having to change my Tampon almost… read more
I have had the same issues before in the past, I found it best to see my Primary, who was able to give me medication to slow the bleeding, and examine the clots in case something else was going on

I'm 22 yrs old, not trying to have a baby now but was told a fertility doctor is better to go to for diagnosis and treatment for PCOS and endometriosis. Any doctors and information would be greatly appreciated.
I tried getting an appointment with fertility specialists cause I was also told the same thing…they all kept saying “we can’t see you unless you wanna have a baby right now” but maybe you’ll have… read more
I have been off my birth control for 9 months now and I would still go months without a period. After months of no period I would have one light for a month or two. In most cases I've read about people don't have them at all. i have never hear of anyone having longer periods. Is there anyone else like this? Also, have you found that other women in your family struggled with PCOS.
in that case im not a doctor im just sharing experiences we are all different we all get different symptoms but i do get freaked out when i dont get my period being on birth control even though that… read more
Really was expecting weightloss, even a few lb. I've been taking 2000mg daily for nearly 8 months. 1000mg aftee breakfast, 1000mg after dinner. I'm considered obese according to BMI at 5'4, 218lb, in case this info matters. I also eat under 2000 calories daily, most days about 1800. No reatrictions yet on dairy, sugar, gluten... though I don't go crazy with them.
I am struggling too with losing weight. I just started taking my metformin again 500mg on top of going with a low to zero carb diet (Keto diet). Will see if I have any progress.
I started my birth control September 16 and am not supposed to start my period until October 7th but started today... is this normal? I know PCOS affects cycles but I thought my birth control was supposed to regulate my cycle? I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this.
I found it took 6 to 12 month to regulate things but it's now that I have gorn off the pill 8 years ago I am still fairly regular
Iv been to my gyno n she sent me away wiv forms for my bf sperm testing n need my blood test for day 2 -5 n day 21of my period to test my ovulation but im not having periods regular so its taking forever... just wish there was somthing to help me ?? Any ideas?
Thanks for that will try this x
Does anyone else get cold like symptoms before their period comes? I noticed this the first cycle I had since being on metformin, and I'm wondering if that means this is about to happen again...
Its like a stuffy nose, headache, head cold. I feel sick (not nauseous, but like i'm coming down with something), and sooo tired. This happened right before I got my first period on metformin (for like a week). I'm hoping this isn't going to happen every time...
Hey Bell.. it's harsh.. I used to bloat like I'm 6 months Preg.. and the fatigue and headaches .. but the pms symtoms have become more manageable recently since taking inosital...hope you feel better… read more
How do I know whether I’m tired during the day because of fatigue due to PCOS or because of bad sleeping habits?
If you take a probiotic and or prebiotic supplement, what is the supplement name?
I know this is a delicate question since so many women are struggling with infertility. I'm certainly not trying to diminish or undermine the pain and difficulty that goes along with that.
I'm 33, been married for 5 years, and I just don't feel that draw. On top of the weight, depression, facial hair, it just makes me feel like something is irretrievably broken.
For many years I was not treating my PCOS and actually felt ambivalence about having kids or being around them. I had a friend that would stop everything at stores to talk to babies. It was so absurd… read more
