I cut my hair over a year ago hoping it would help it grow faster and appear thicker. I’ve always had super thick hair. I noticed my hair has been thinning for the last few years but still manageable. Then I decided to stop the contraceptive pill because I’m 49 and thought my body should go through natural progression into menopause. Since stopping the pill I have lost a lot of hair and fear I will lose it all. I am thinking of going back on the Diane 35 contraceptive pill. I take iron, vitamin d, fish oil and hair and nail supplements

Hi, im new here and was really hoping to get some advice. Ive been diagnosed but waiting to go to a different doctor so my PCOS is untreated at the moment. Ive seen that hair loss is a symptom. My hormones are balanced but I still deal with hirsutism on a daily basis. So much so that I shave (my face) every day, if not twice a day.

My hair has been thinning A LOT and, sometimes, I lose clumps of it at a time. Is there anything I can do/use to help decrease the thinning/loss of hair??? Any tips/tricks or suggestions are very much appreciated.

I started metformin two months ago. Since then, I've lost a lot of hair and have gained a sizeable bald spot on the back of my head.

Never had it before. Never had hair loss before. This is the only thing that's changed.

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2007 when I was only 13 and for the past year I have noticed that my hair is thinning a lot. Has this happen to anytime else? If so, how do I stop it?

Besides shaving or plucking what has worked for you? I am super allergic to nair hair removal creams but what else is out there?
