I am currently 23 years old and I have been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 14 (9 years ago) I have thought long and hard about this and I have come to the decision that I do not want kids. I am also with someone (in a relationship) who also does not want kids. I have been researching about tubal ligation but I can't find anything on how it would affect my PCOS. would it even change anything with my PCOS? would I still have to take birth control for my PCOS? or would another option be more… read more
Well, I thought I didn't want kids so I got a tubal at 21 and was diagnosed with PCOS at 25. For me tubal didnt change my symptoms. My husband and myself thought we didn't want kids and now that's all… read more
I'm currently considering getting a tubal ligation as part of our c-section procedure in a couple months, but I'm really nervous of potential issues. From what I can find, women seem split on the issue, but finding info on how it could impact those with PCOS specifically is harder to find. I expect to have to continue to manage my hormones regardless, but if there are adverse hormonal impacts from the procedure, can they be managed or are you dealing with an even worse issue? I just don't want… read more
I had a hysterectomy in my 20s because dealing with the pcos just wasnt happening. It ofxourse didnt stop the pcos but it did make the issues easer to deal with in many regards.

Anyone else NEVER get a period?
I only do when I take Provera.
I have already tried Metformin, Vitex, weight loss, exercise, clean eating. Still have never had a cycle on my own.
I just started taking inositol, so I'll give that a shot for a few months to see if that helps at all. Any other ideas? Is there anything you have been able to do to naturally get a period?
Same. I have to take medroxy progesterone pills because I get tired of the on going break through bleeding. If I do have a natural one it's like once a year if that. I noticed after using birth… read more
can they this and also remove a 6cm cyst on an ovary?
A D&C cleans the inside of your uterus out. If they were to remove a cyst they would have to preform a cystectomy and they will usually do that as laparoscopic procedure.
Have any of you heard of or deal with histamine intolerance? I keep feeling like my skin is freaking out, sneezing, sinus issues...my mom said it sounds like allergies, but ive done nothing different today. This happens every once in a while...started looking into it and pcos related issues and Histamine intolerance came up...makes sense...sucks, but makes sense
I kept thinking it was just because my work is surrounded by fields, but it happens any time of year and not when im in a specific location. Seems to get worse when i can feel my hormones doing… read more
So, I had a consultation appointment with a weight specialist today... She was really nice, and thorough and really listened to me. But, I think her area is straight up bariatric surgery, and I'm not really into that right now. I actually wanted to try low-dose naltrexone, but couldn't muster the courage to bring it up to her. She and all my other Dr.'s want me to try a non-insulin injectable for my T2D and weight. But, I've read people are losing a lot more weight on the low dose naltrexone… read more
Where is your doctor? I diet and exercise regularly just to maintain my obesity from becoming even worse. Nothing seems to work and doctors look at me like I'm a liar. I need a doc who will listen.
Hi all, my doctor told me to do research on the meds listed ^^ above. I was just curious if anyone has tried any of these singularly, or combined while TTC? My husband and I are trying naturally for the next three months before meeting with my OB to develop a medical plan to help us conceive. These were the only three she mentioned. So I am open to other suggestions, but these are the primary ones I'm looking at right now.
