Hirsutism
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

How do you deal with hirsutism? I have hair all over my body and face, it really gets me down. Any advice on treatments or supplements to try?

I have been doing laser removal but I hear it can come back if hormones aren't regulated. It does work best on darker hair and was told it will not work on blonde or red hair.

Hi. I had the first Laser Hair removal treatment and so far it's been worth it. The most painful area was the upper lip for me. Most of the pain subsided immediately after a few seconds and there has been no scarring. I was able to get approval to use my HSA to cover the treatment but I had to submit a letter from my doctor;s office in order for HSA to cover the treatment.

Hi. I will let you know how it goes. I'm having the first treatment today. I also seen a nurse practitioner today and she says laser hair removal is what they recommend.
