I completely cleared up my skin through diet and lifestyle choices. It took years and it's really tough at times but it works, trust me!! Cut out dairy, gluten, refined sugars, and alcohol. Stick to a low carb, high protein diet. Lots of green and colourful veggies, grass-fed meat. Stay away from inflammatory foods. Minimize rice and corn as well. It seems like you can't really eat anything but wow, it will make you look and feel fantastic!! oh and drink tons of water and take a good probiotic :)

I've been on antibiotics for years - doxycycline. It just about keeps on top of my acne although I still get breakouts when I'm hormonal. I've heard really good things about lysine. When I was looking into it, there were a lot of people saying it had helped them.

I recently broke out with cystic acne when I started to eat eggs every morning thinking "YAY Eggs are low carb" not realizing dairy is not great for people with PCOS. A change in diet definitely works and no dairy took away my acne.

It could be occurring due to an allergic reaction to something you're eating or a product you're using. You could try using calamine lotion overnight.
