Members discussed strategies for managing acne that has worsened since their diagnosis, with many agreeing that hormone-related breakouts differ from typical teenage acne and require more than just topical treatments. Several members recommended specific products like Clinique Acne Solutions, Aveeno cleansing pads, charcoal cleansers, and witch hazel, while also emphasizing practical habits like washing sheets and pillowcases frequently to reduce oil and bacteria buildup. A recurring theme was that addressing the root hormonal imbalance through medications like metformin, myo-inositol, D-chiro inositol, and vitex, along with procedures like ovarian drilling, proved more effective than skincare products alone, with diet and lifestyle changes also playing an important supportive role.

Honestly hormone acne is different from teenage acne. I've been through everything, trying all kinds of products. Nothing helped. Definitely take care of your skin but I feel it's more beneficial to get your hormones under control ๐Ÿ˜•

Do you think witch hazel might work?

Also, keep in mind, your sheets and pillow cases.. they trap dirt and make it more susceptible to carry germs/oils. So wash them frequently, if you don't already!
