I know that its normal for hair to change over our lifetimes, but in just a few short years my hair transitioned from mostly straight to incredibly curly and unruly. I read a study that claimed testosterone can change the shape of the hair follicles. Anyone else go through this?
My hair changed when my doctor inserted an IUD, claiming it would help with everything. Fast forward six months my hair is unruly, and SO thin that it's causing major depression. Searching for ways to get my hair to stop falling out..
Yes I have been taking biotin and gelatin and doing oil treatment if I find it I buy if I want it to be all natural I make my coconut oil treatment put it in a jar or spray bottle makes my hair soft my hair is short but healthy since I'm trying things that might help.my iron had got really low anemia so I been trying to work on building my iron.biotin is a b vitamin to help hair grow on my head.
The only thing that has remotely slowed my hair loss is getting the testosterone and insulin resistance under control through weight loss, healthier eating and medications/supplements. Spironolactone is a med that blocks testosterone so maybe ask your doctor about that. I understand the feeling 😢
My hair loss is extreme causing bald spots. Has anyone tried anything to help with their hair loss? I see a derm next week.
I think this is pretty common. My mum said her ringlet hair became only wavy/slightly curly after childbirth. It's due to hormonal changes. Would love curls!
