Thought On Spironolactone For Facial Hair?
Did anyone try taking spironolactone to treat excess hair growth?
I take it too. Notice some improvement but not sure if it's worth it to stay on due to side effects. Also no one suggested having my potassium levels checked. I guess I have to ask my doctor. So thanks for that info Heather.
I took it for awhile.....you have to get tested for your potassium levels pretty often....it ups potassium.....but it was working pretty good for lots of things for me.....I moved and didn't have insurance for awhile so I haven't taken it in a while
I've been on it since 2014. Initially I did feel a lot of side effects, especially dehydration since it's a water pill. I do find it to be very effective. I take it every night and I'm used to now waking up once to pee but other than that I don't notice anything different day to day. I still have some hair that grows on my chin but it is much much less than before!
I have! For me, I saw only minimal improvement. I stopped taking it because the side effects outweighed the benefits.
My doctor did ask for some tests for my kidney functions after using it for two weeks. Will keep you guys posted if itβs actually worth it or not! Thank youu!!
