Metformin primarily is a medication used to help keep your blood glucose levles in check. Basically help to lower your blood sugar. There are some side effects that most people have, such as weight loss and mood stabilizing. I have gotten such a mix review of the drug from many friends and family, most not very good (my family has very odd effects with medicine so I usually take all of that with a grain of salt and don't really pay any mind to it), but that just means it wasn't the right medication for them. They did find the right one, but the ones that were positive, were VERY positive. I was prescribed it myself, but due to personal issues, I hadn't really taken it as prescribed and just stopped taking it all together. I plan on returning to my DR. and talking about things in further detail with him to get things back on track though. I hope this helps, even if just a little.

Honestly no not so far. I stopped it I felt like it was making my symptoms worsen instead of go away 😭 but I have heard of people losing weight with it
