Will The Nurse At The Doctors Still Do My Smear Test Even Though My Periods Have Arrived Today?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Hi ladies, I went to the loo before I got in the shower and when I wiped I discovered that my periods have started. They're light at the moment but they are also very unpredictable as we all know
The only thing is my doctors surgery is open today, but for pre-booked appointments only, so I don't think there's a receptionist in the surgery. I'm still going to my appointment so that I can speak to the nurse (who is female as only the female nurses can do the smear tests at my doctors, which I… read more

I think that’s similar to what they said would happen to me too, so they advised against it too. Glad you got rebooked though, do you suffer with prolonged periods at all? Are they quite regular? I’m… read more

What To Do For Super Sensitive Woman Regions Not Caused By Infections
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Ok, so I have a weird question. My area down there has always been SUPER sensitive. When I was a young teen, I discovered this by accident. The sensation from my pants caused an orgasm once, and bruising another time. So, I started wearing pantiliners daily to deal with this. It helps a lot, but I read and have heard from others that I shouldn't wear pantiliners everyday because it can cause infections. I don't wear them at night, but I do when I am wearing any sort of pants or shorts… read more

Thank you. I have tried men's pants, they don't quite fit my body type....
I will look into the reusable pads. That would save me money in the long run anyway...

Has Anyone Experienced Hair Loss
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

I noticed my hair has been thinning for the last few years but still manageable. Then I decided to stop the contraceptive pill because I’m 49 and thought my body should go through natural progression into menopause. Since stopping the pill I have lost a lot of hair and fear I will lose it all. I am thinking of going back on the Diane 35 contraceptive pill. I take iron, vitamin d, fish oil and hair and nail supplements
