Did Clomid Work For You The First Cycle?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I am on my first cycle of Clomid and was curious what the success rate is among everyone. Did you get pregnant the first cycle? If no, how many cycles did you take before pregnancy occurred? Tell me your experience with the drug

I did three cycles of clomid, using only half a tablet (this was because of my very high hormone levels causing very high chance of overstimulation). The first two cycles induced ovulation, but no… read more

Yes, this has happened to me. It's the hormone fluctuations. As I got older the urge started to decline more and more. When I became pregnant, I didn't want sex. Only one time we had sex when I… read more

My Periods Were Always Very Few And Far Between, But I Have Now Not Had A Period For Two Years. Should I Be Concerned And Contact My GP?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Started periods at age 17, went on the pill at 18 so no real way of monitoring regularity of cycles. Tried to conceive from 2016-2021 but made the decision to stop fertility treatment. Have a very healthy and active lifestyle, healthy weight but would gain weight easily if I was not careful. No period at all now for 2 years. Not sure if this is a cause for concern and whether I should contact my GP.

Hmm so I didn’t know until my most recent Pap smear that for women like us it’s helpful to get a period at least every 90 days (to help prevent uterine cancer). You may wanna ask your GP or gyno if… read more

No Periods
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone else NEVER get a period?

I only do when I take Provera.

I have already tried Metformin, Vitex, weight loss, exercise, clean eating. Still have never had a cycle on my own.

I just started taking inositol, so I'll give that a shot for a few months to see if that helps at all. Any other ideas? Is there anything you have been able to do to naturally get a period?

Will The Nurse At The Doctors Still Do My Smear Test Even Though My Periods Have Arrived Today?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi ladies, I went to the loo before I got in the shower and when I wiped I discovered that my periods have started. They're light at the moment but they are also very unpredictable as we all know
The only thing is my doctors surgery is open today, but for pre-booked appointments only, so I don't think there's a receptionist in the surgery. I'm still going to my appointment so that I can speak to the nurse (who is female as only the female nurses can do the smear tests at my doctors, which I… read more

Any Other’s Who Have Or Had A Mirena IUD And Thoughts On It?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

SOS, I need advice and personal stories. I’ve had Mirena for about two years now. I simply wanted it for its sole purpose as birth control. Due to insurance issues and what not, mirena covered my IUD for me so i was limited to options as to which IUD was good or best for me. I tried a bunch of different birth control pills before and I hated every single one of them. I either bled every two weeks, gained excessive weight, or was a moody b*tch. My mom still thinks my moods swings may be cauased… read more

Metformin Causing Irregular Periods After Having Regular Periods?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Sooo I was on here when I thought I had PCOS, but after seeing 3 gynecologists and an infertility specialist they said I in fact did not
Then I finally went to see a PCP who saw my acne and 😣 facial hair and immediately thought of PCOS. He reviewed my labs and previous ultrasounds and said I in fact had PCOS
I’ve been on metformin for about a month and a half, my first period was on time (per usual) and now this one is 4 days late. All pregnancy tests negative so far.
I’ve been pregnant… read more
