Hi All,
Does anyone in the Boston area have a good recommendation for a doctor, clinic, or nutritionist that specializes in PCOS?
I've had a tough time finding a doctor or clinic that really does a great job with PCOS. I've seen endocrinologists, done a fertility clinic at a very reputable hospital, and gotten one on one recommendations from my PCP. I am struggling to find the right person (or team) who really understands more about PCOS specifically, keeps up on the research, and tries to… read more
Thanks so much for your response and recommendations!
And acutane is such an intense option I’d more likely recommend spironolactone if you’re looking for a medication option! I’ve never taken it myself though but my friend is someone that really hates… read more
What products or methods have worked best for clearing your skin? My husband and I are trying to conceive, so birth control, spironolactone, etc aren’t options for me right now and I’d like to try to avoid a medication approach anyway. What’s worked for you?
Also in the market for new foundation and moisturizer refommendations!
I try to avoid anything with fragrance and I found this naturally scented face wash called Avalon Organics face wash with lavender and prebiotics. It's the best thing for my skin!
I struggle with my weight so badly. It's frustrating I eat small portions, exercise, and eat mostly non- processed food, I don't know what else to do I lost a bunch and then gained it all back and then some and I didn't do anything differently. I've also had 6 miscarriages. I'm so frustrated with my body and even with antidepressants I feel suicidal. People are so mean to me because of my weight and try as I might I just keep going up. I was on metformin and it made my depression and anxiety go… read more
I know I recommend this to alot of people but it’s only because I’ve only ever heard positive feedback from trying this diet and I’ve experienced tremendous relief from this diet as well

Was diagnosed with hypothyroid and PCOS. Periods are not heavy but have lasted for 2 months at a time for the last 3 times. Ultrasound didn't find anything, and Doctor's say my levels are "normal" now after being on thyroid medicine and metformin for 6 months but my period won't regulate. Anyone else have something similar?
Thank you so much! It helps to hear other people have experienced it too!
Hello everyone! I have PCOS for about 6 years. I got so much advice what I should do, from my OB, friends, and other sources. I know that they all want to help but everyone is different. I read multiple studies and everything I could find online. I'm super happy that I got pregnant and have my daughter now. For me it helped to change my diet and do some exercise as I was insulin resistant. From time to time I use a glucose monitor to see what is spiking my glucose to not gaining too much weight… read more
As I told my OBGYN I do not want to do a clinical trial that stops my period.. Women that want to have children do not want their period stopped we want methods that gives us results such as pain… read more
For context I am a 27yr old female with long history of anxiety and depression, tried many different antidepressants over the years. Always been told since I was diagnosed at age 6 that I must just have a chemical imbalance in my brain. Fast forward to age 26, I got an IUD placed by my gyno who informed me I had PCOS. I have always been very active, I am lean and struggle to gain weight.
I have been on Spirolactone for about 7 months now and am seeing no difference, I haven't made any changes… read more

Hello all,
I’m curious if there is anyone like me who gained weight rapidly and has tried everything to lose it . I am NOT IR. But still overweight , what has worked for you? What hasn’t worked for you? Post you opinions / experiences below! Can’t wait to hear them! ❤️
I'm an individual who has gained a crazy amount of weight over the years despite not being insulin-resistant. Ty for posting this, I definitely could use the information as well!
So far my tests don’t show insulin resistance that I know of but the doctor was talking about putting me on metformin anyways. Anybody else benefitted from that? Did metformin regulate your cycle even if you didn’t have insulin problems?
Totally agree with you, its always best to ask those who are dealing with these things on a daily basis, than health care professionals who may not be going through any of this themselves! I always… read more
