Anyone Else Out There FINALLY Diagnosed With PCOS After Years Of Mental Health Treatment? Anxiety And Depression
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

For context I am a 27yr old female with long history of anxiety and depression, tried many different antidepressants over the years. Always been told since I was diagnosed at age 6 that I must just have a chemical imbalance in my brain. Fast forward to age 26, I got an IUD placed by my gyno who informed me I had PCOS. I have always been very active, I am lean and struggle to gain weight.

I have been on Spirolactone for about 7 months now and am seeing no difference, I haven't made any changes… read more

Do Some Of You Have Weird Nails?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Yesterday i discovered that my toenails are doing some weird thing. The new part of the nail is very hard, has ridges and is higher than the rest of the nail. I read it could have multiple things it could come from, like thyroid, diabetes and a heartattack. As those sometimes come in pcos, not the heartattack, but you know blood pressure from stress and all. Pictue is in the next bit, so i dont shock people.

What Can I Do Or Take To Reduce Daytime Fatigue?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I’m eating what I should be eating. I’m taking all my vitamins b, c, d, and zinc but I’m still exhausted. It’s so hard to focus on and because I have to sleep all day. I’m eating vegetables, meat, fruit etc but nothing seems to help. I’m not sleeping hardly at night now because of insomnia.

Just Another Question I Always Have On My Mind..
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been feeling like I want to ask my doctor for a while, but I thought I’d ask her and see if anyone else has ever asked this question, but does anyone ever wonder if the hormone blockers that people use to transition from male to female whatever be an option for us with high testosterone levels, why don’t we have options like this?

Has Anyone Experienced Hair Loss
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I noticed my hair has been thinning for the last few years but still manageable. Then I decided to stop the contraceptive pill because I’m 49 and thought my body should go through natural progression into menopause. Since stopping the pill I have lost a lot of hair and fear I will lose it all. I am thinking of going back on the Diane 35 contraceptive pill. I take iron, vitamin d, fish oil and hair and nail supplements

Recently Diagnosed
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi Ladies. So I got diagnosed today. My doctor wasn't very helpful. I don't know what type of PCOS I have and wasn't aware that there were other types of PCOS. I do a lot of research into things and had questions to ask. But when I got in there today and he told me the news I froze. I still don't really understand this Insulin thing. I have excessive hair growth on my face. Does anyone have any tips for that? That is my main concern at the moment.
